For my FMP (final major project) at college I’ve been on the search for inspirational typefaces to be used as a key feature in my work. As the project is mostly typography based, I have to consider everything from leading, tracking visual 3D elements as well as how the type will sit on a page.
I recently came across a designer by the name of Matt Willey who was co-founder, and senior editor, of Port Magazine. His portfolio of work is genuinely mind blowing and he is now on the list of designers who I take inspiration from – (on a regular basis). Check his work out here – http://www.mattwilley.co.uk/
This typeface above (and below) was something he designed for Wired. Its very clean, bold and engaging as a typeface and defiantly something I’ll take note of when working on my FMP. You can visit the whole typography project of his here –
