“Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” is one of those irritating little phrases that has been so over-used that it’s all but lost it’s meaning. In retrospect, though, it’s probably one of the most important lessons that anyone can get out of life.
This odd little film I’ve recently discovered, directed by John Smith, brilliantly shows the extent of a person’s preconceptions towards certain situations; that you have to be investigative towards your environment before coming to instant conclusions over other people.
But more than anything else, I just like the humour and absurdity of this film. I think that some of the best art can show that people’s “reasonable” views of the world can actually be quite funny.
